Wow! Extreme weather conditions seem to follow us to Bloomington on the 3rd Sunday of the month. It was very hot and very humid. The crowds came early and we sold almost all of the furniture we brought. We do enjoy the one-on-one interaction with our customers and appreciate all the positive comments about our booth and our merchandise. We dreaded the end of the day when it was time to pack and load the trucks. Oh my! Lots of sweat and lots of dust in the air means mud on your arms, face and neck.
The heat has continued through this week and everyone is cranky. We are spending just as much time cooped up inside as we do in January. That just seems to make people really crabby. And I guess people don’t like to break a sweat ten seconds after they walk outside. I am really sad when I have to drive past a garage sale after work but when the outside temp reads 98…well…I just go on by. I sure hope I didn’t miss any good stuff.
The extreme weather hasn’t stopped us from signing up for the August Market. In spite of everything, we are both addicted to junk and love hanging out with fellow junkers. Mmmm…what kind of weather will we have in August?
